About Arlene
I grew up sewing. My mother taught me to sew garments while I was a young girl in 4-H club. Her favorite story about my school years was that I taught my teacher how to insert an invisible zipper into a skirt! Even though there were no quilters in my family, it was only a matter of time before I caught the bug. I began piecing in 1993 when my daughters were small. I would send my quilts to three different women to have them quilted on their longarm machines. When my favorite longarmer could no longer keep up with the demand, she suggested that I get my own longarm machine. She knew how I felt about finishing a quilt and what I wanted done for the quilting. I followed her advice. I purchased a Nolting Longarm Machine with Intellistitch in 2001 and its been a love affair with quilting ever since.
I understand the satisfaction of piecing a top and then sitting back and thinking, “ok, what do I do now?” That’s where I can help. I enjoy looking at each quilt top and coming up with a plan on how to enhance it with the quilting. I like to treat each top as if it were my own. Let me help you finish those tops and enjoy the satisfaction of curling up under your completed quilt.
My studio is in my home, which is both smoke-free and pet-free. Working from my home allows me to work some very odd hours, which is why I use email for almost every aspect of my business. You will find that email is the best way to contact me.
